It is a bust, the LHA at CERN or any other collider in the world, can not theoretically create sufficient gravitational influence to create a black hole, on this S. Hawking and I may agree. To bad you wont all die today.

sorry but the black hole experiment is over a year away.
currently they are only testing the proton beams to align them so that they do not hit the walls and go 'Boom' this is done at low power levels.
Once they get the beams aligned in both directions they will start pulsing the beams to get the protons bunched into packets (about 2mm long from what I've read). Then they will try to collide them at lower power levels. Once that is sucessful they will keep increasing the power level in small steps untill they reach the maximum power levels.
This way they do not break (Boom) the brand new toy in the first few weeks and have to go back and beg for more billions to fix it.
thus we will not see balck holes for a while

"By the time you read this, the earth and all of its inhabitants will already have been sucked into a black hole." I'm still alive.

Boom. The experiment happened and we're all still here. No black hole for me. Newscasters reported it cost $8 Billion and the scientists weren't sure what would happen but were positive nothing would happen to the Earth. I guess the positive and negative concerns cancelled everything out. At least it gave reporters a reason to interview Stephen Hawking.
